I'm having this issue on shutdown since maybe a few weeks. There's a 3-year old thread on it which didn't help me and is marked solved, so I'm starting a new one. This is the message I'm getting in the terminal (I hit Scroll Lock and copied it by hand):
      Code:
Asking all processes to terminate... done
Currently running processes (pstree):
init-+-cupsd
     |-rc---startpar---sendsigs---pstree
     |-rsyslogd---3*[{rsyslogd}]
     `-wpa_supplicant
[FAIL]Killing all remaining processes...failed.

I have not found any useful information in syslog. I'm not sure what to make of this output. Perhaps an issue with cupsd or wpa_supplicant?
      Code:
apt-cache policy cups-daemon wpasupplicant
cups-daemon:
  Installed: 1.6.4-2
  Candidate: 1.6.4-2
  Version table:
 *** 1.6.4-2 0

        500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ testing/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
wpasupplicant:
  Installed: 1.0-3.1
  Candidate: 1.0-3.1
  Version table:

Neither should have negative consequences.

This doesn't imply that these issues shouldn't be improved, but at least they don't break anything.
