I'm about to get a new computer. I'm going to move over my old hard drive to it. Do I have to do a clean install of aptosid or will my old install work? |

- install the old harddisk as first boot drive.
- rm -f /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent* /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/*
/done
...unless you were using proprietary graphics drivers before and switched vendors, if you did, you have to remove all traces of them before (possible with Debian packaged drivers, impossible with uncleanly installed ones). |
