Hi.

On planet-kde I founded this - http://www.afiestas.org/nepomuk-is-not-fast-is-instant/

I'm running aptosid kernel 2.6.36-0.slh.5-aptosid-686

For # sysctl fs.inotify.max_user_watches

I have

      Code:
fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 8192

For Nepomuk best is 524288.

Please change kernel config.

Are there any reasonable reasons for the lower value resp. not to add that in /etc/sysctl.conf?

Any use cases for that patch?

slh won't add a patch if it adversely affects the kernel
