We ( tjtag and ConvBSD ) are working to bring to aptosid users Gnome Desktop.
Join us at #aptosid-gnome channel.
Initial build was succesfull.

I agreed with you. I would like to assist you with gnome desktop.I have already joined at the aptosid manual translation to the pt-br. Thus, if you need my support with pt-br on gnome. I might join at the gnome channel.
