Post subject: kernel can't halt properly since 2.6.26-0.slh.3 (or 2)  PostPosted: 21.11.2010, 19:54

{kernel, is Software isn't it? 8) }

On 2 identical PC of one brazilian user, aptosid kernel can't properly shutdown since the version 2.6.26-0.slh.3.
When shutdown is attempted (in any method, from KDM, from console, init 0, halt, etc.) the computer will reboot.

on both PC tested, all installed version of 2.6.35, it could halt properly.
on both PC tested, 2.6.36-0.slh.1 works properly.
on both PC, 0.slh-2 was never installed.

So some change between 2.6.26-0.slh.1 to 2.6.26-0.slh.3 has caused the problem.
(I see a lot of change from 1 to 2 in changelog...)

So far, I don't know if it's on -i386 or -amd64.
I'm asking output of "infobash -v3"
