A very friendly Hello from me
I am very sorry, aptosid is so young but at the beginning I have two questions in relation of the name:
What is the meaning of aptosid and how does it pronounced:
ap..to..sid or apt..o.. sid or...
Greetings

A welcome from me, too and I wish you all a nice start in a new environment (even when the distro hasn't changed, the name and the look and feel has).
Here we all are again!
P.S.: We have good chances to completely get a new Image, because of the new design, maybe an own icon theme and the still outstanding LXDE-Flavour. |

I would like to wish the whole team a nice new start and all the best.
Since long I had moved to arch linux, now I may decide to come back to aptosid again.
Is there any difference (from sidux) in policy announced ? Any info about new forum / community guidelines ?
regards,
Hardik |

@devil, thanks for the inputs.
I also see here experimental forums ! Does this mean that the team is also going to support experimental repos in sources.lst to some extent ?
If yes, this would be really something very interesting !
regards,
Hardik |

The experimental forums have been created to allow advanced users to experiment with stuff we cannot support. They may give voluntary user2user support there. However, users not being able to deal with the problems arising from such experiments are still strongly advised to stay away from this very forum part. That will ensure to keep their systems in a state we can officially support them.
Greetings,
Chris |
