I have a single 1.5TB HDD ( with three partitions) with Aptosid installed. I have since installed a 64 GB SSD on which I have installed the latest 2010-3 Aptosid and installed grub to this drive. I then changed the boot order in the BIOS so the SSD boots the system. What is the simplest way to put the mbr on the SSD.I no longer need anything on the HDD so can reformat it if needed.

Thanks slh It does not look that obvious as it just seems to list partitions then complains when you select any. I reformatted the HDD so removing the old mbr to see it that makes things more obvious but it doesn't so I chose to not to put Grub on any of the options dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc gives and this seems to work OK. confusing to me.

How about grub-install /dev/sdx where x is the drive you want to install grub2 to the MBR on?
