If the previous indication not deleted the menu entry, it means that I still have not uninstalled the kernel. Remove the kernel (apt-get purge linux-image-xxxxxxx with headers). Uninstaller, automatically run the 'update-grub' and takes the grub entry.
Hello:
I have done all this. I am getting the correct kernel, and there is no longer any trace of the sidux images or headers.
But, I am still getting an initial grub screen with sidux choices which then chains into a grub2 screen.
