2.6.37-020637-generic is not a aptosid kernel, neither an debian kernel, looks like an ubuntu kernel.
In Debian and Ubuntu, the kernel has BKL suppot, so recompiling not needed. |

just installed a downloadable stable kernel image from www.kernel.org
thank you for your response and if i need to recompile the whole linux kernel please explain how, i'm a newbie and thx for being patient |
