Congratulations for the new face sidus/aptosid
My Asus eeepc 901 works ideal but how can I make visible the fn+f4 or f3 (up or down screen light) as fn+f8 or f9 volume level?
I think I need to look in /etc but I dont remember where and how
Thanks

Installing eeepc-acpi-scripts might help, however functionality was supposed to be merged into acpi-support-base (and most other hardware doesn't need it either).

You also might need to tell the kernel to use Linux ACPI (I needed on my eeepc 1005) with the newer Kernels, add cheat code "acpi_osi=Linux" to the grub command line, see: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/Model/1005pe
