Hello,
I did a dist-upgrade on a local machine. Because everything was fine with this I did dare to dist-upgrade another (this time a remote) machine, too. The DU was fine and I did reboot into the new kernel. (coming from 2.6.37.0.slh.4 this now is 2.6.37.0.slh.7)
Now I want to log in via kdm with x11vnc started remotely and krdc locally. Usually this does work. But now X just crashes before the first splashscreen icon appears and I am returned to the login screen.
As I do not now if this is just an issue with the remote vnc login or if it happens when trying to log in locally, too, I did not write this in the DU-Upgrade-Warning forum.
This is the content of the /var/log/kdm:

Does anybody have an idea what I could check or try?
I had such a problem a while ago already. But I thought that the x11vnc option "--reopen" did the trick. With this option the login did work again once. But it does not help now.
