hi ankscorek,
i have the same phone, and in the meantime i resigned with synchronizing...
wammu doesn't support the phone, opensync/multisync is broken in sid (it seems that no one is working to change that at the moment) and the syncronization between the phone and a local installation of funambol didn't work either (note that the plugin for thunderbird/icedove is broken at the moment, too)
but last time i tried that was 2 months ago, maybe something has changed in the meantime. |

| I also tried kdebluetooth but had the same experience. It did not work at all. I was more successful with Wammu and blueman |

I have 5800 too. First, stay away from opensync/kitchensync, it is full of bugs and you can loose your data.
Do you know series60-remote? It can save all data on computer and it is working very fine with blueman (I suggest blueman and not kdebluetooth because is A LOT better).
The alternative is using online sync with funambol. In this case you will have a symbian v5 application on Nokia and, compiling akunambol (http://akunambol.ruphy.org/), you could syncronize with kde Kontact. Akunambol is working perfect. |
