I want to reduce the terminal fonts size, when I am doing apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade (init 3).
How can I do it?

Open /etc/default/grub as root with an editor.
Uncomment out line
      Code:
GRUB_GFXMODE=640x48

Change the resolution to your needs, eg 1024x768
add a new line
      Code:
GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=1024x768

Save your changes and do update-grub, then reboot.
